Microblading

Thanks to celebrities like Cara Delevingne and Brooke Shields, thick, full eyebrows are in style and the trend doesn’t seem to be losing steam anytime soon.

What is Microblading?

For those who aren’t naturally gifted with the look, there’s a service, available at HB Health that can help, Microblading.

An aesthetician uses a microblade tool to apply colour pigments that when applied, look like real natural looking hairs. The color effect will fade over time, so touch-ups may be necessary to maintain the desired look. However, this is dependent on your skin type.

The initial procedure may take up to a couple of hours, and the eyebrows will appear darker immediately after the initial treatment. However, in time this will fade out and you are left with perfect looking brows, from as soon as you wake up!

How does it differ from semi-permanent tattooing?

Microblading differs from conventional semi-permanent tattooing by the very fact that it is a manual procedure. When using a hand held micro blade, the colour is deposited closer to the surface than when a machine is used leaving very fine and crisp hair strokes with no spilling under the skin.

How long does the pigmentation last?

Microblading tends to last between 18-36 months with a colour boost or refresh session 4 weeks after the initial procedure.

Does it hurt?

Like all semi-permanent procedures Microblading will require a topical anaesthetic which can be topped up throughout the procedure making it relatively painless

How much does it cost?

from £250
